The simple view
Visibilitas has two views. The simple view puts the essentials for one website on one page: how it is doing, whether people find it on Google, whether AI assistants name it, and what to do next. It is made for owners who have about ten minutes a week. The expert view shows every report and setting.
Each person chooses their own view, and both views show the same data. The view only changes what you see first: what you may do in Visibilitas is the same in both.
What the simple view is for
In the simple view each website has one page, its home. Opening Visibilitas takes you there. If your organization has two or more websites, you first see Your websites, one card per website with its health and its open problems, and choose one. If it has none yet, you see the dashboard, where you can add one.
Everything the simple view leaves out is one click away: a card's link opens the matching page of the expert view, and a bar above that page takes you back to the simple view.
Switching between the simple and the expert view
You can switch at any time and from anywhere: with Simple | Expert in the top bar, in the account menu on a small screen, under Account settings → View, or with Use expert view on the bar above an expert page you opened from the simple view.
Switching keeps you on the page you are on, or takes you to the matching page of the other view (a website's home and its overview are a pair). Nothing is lost: what you have typed stays where it is, and your websites, settings and changes are the same in both views. Your choice is saved with your account, so Visibilitas opens in your view on every device. Your teammates choose their own view.
The one-time question
When the simple view is first offered to you, Visibilitas asks once: How do you want to use Visibilitas? Your current view is already selected. Continue with the view you want, or keep your current one. Closing the question also keeps your current view. Either way your answer is saved, and the question does not come back. If it could not be saved, Visibilitas asks again the next time you open it.
Whatever you answer, you can switch at any time, and nothing is lost either way.
Your organization's default view
An admin of your organization can choose a default view under Default view in the organization settings: one for the team, and one for clients whose access is limited to selected websites. From the next time they open Visibilitas, it applies to new members and to anyone who has never chosen a view; people who had an account before the simple view keep the expert view until they choose one.
The default never changes a view someone has chosen, and anyone can switch at any time. If your view comes from the default, Account settings → View says so; choosing a view there, even the one you see, makes it your own.
What the home shows
How your website is doing: its health, a score from 0 to 100, from the latest check of your website, and how it has moved.
Can people find you on Google? How many of your search phrases show your website on Google's first page.
Do AI assistants name you? How often AI assistants such as ChatGPT name your business in their answers, for each language they were asked in.
Can AI assistants read your website? A short list of checks that AI assistants need to pass to read your pages, and when they last ran. Check now (or Check again) runs them at once; after a check there is a short wait before the next one, and if you may not start one, an admin in your team can.
Since your last visit: what changed since you last looked at this website: its health, problems solved and new problems found, changes to your website that went live, need a look or were undone, and articles published. Your first visit compares with the last 7 days, and the comparison never reaches back more than 30 days. Coming back within half an hour counts as the same visit. Lines with nothing to report are left out.
Your tasks: what to do next, most important first. Each task says how long it takes and opens its fix right on the same page.
A figure that has not been measured yet is shown as a dash or a sentence that says so, never as zero.
Fixing problems from the simple view
Each task opens its fix on the same page.
On WordPress: when your WordPress website is connected, we write the new texts (for example a page's title for Google or its preview text), you read them, and one click approves them. We make the changes to your website and then check your live page.
Anywhere else: we write the text for each page, you copy it into your website and tell us, and we check your live page.
Problems only you can solve, such as a setting at your hosting company: the task explains the steps. When you are done, Check again looks at the page again.
Writing texts uses part of your monthly AI allowance. You can undo an approved change from the same place. If you may not approve changes, Copy link for an admin gives you a link to send to someone in your team who can.
The tour
A short tour of four steps points out your website's health, the Google and AI cards, your tasks, and the way to everything else. It can start by itself once on this browser: when you finish setting up your first website, or when you choose the simple view in the one-time question. You can take it again at any time with Take the tour in the account menu while you are on a website's page. Close it whenever you like.
Emails and notifications
Every Monday at 09:00 UTC, the weekly email shows how each of your websites moved and anything that needs a look. Its Open Visibilitas button opens Visibilitas in your view. Emails are written in your profile's language: the language you chose in Visibilitas or, if you never chose one, the language Visibilitas shows you.
When changes you approved are confirmed live on your website, or need a look because they could not be made or we could not find them on your live page, you get one notification per website in the bell, and the Monday email lists them. Changes that need a look are also posted to your team's Slack channel when one is connected. If the person who approved a change has left your organization, its admins are told instead. You choose how you hear about each kind of event in your notification settings.
